Serving the Children of the World

Founded January 21, 1915, Kiwanis is a global organization of member-volunteers who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.

Serve and Lead

More than 8,309 clubs, located in 79 nations, help their communities annually by dedicating more than 18.5 million service hours toward 150,000 service projects, totalling more than US$100 million. Each community's needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

The Carolinas District (North Carolina and South Carolina) is made up of 26 divisions across both states with a total of 172 Kiwanis Clubs.  NC has 124 clubs and SC has 48 clubs.  Our Division is number 10 which has 8 clubs with the "Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes" as our community club.

Members of every age attend regular meetings, experience fellowship, raise funds for various causes and participate in service projects that help their communities. Members also make an impact throughout the world by participating in Kiwanis International’s Global Campaign for Children, The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Many clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club—K-Kids for primary school children ages 6-12; (Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes Sponsors: a Builders Club for adolescents ages 11-14 in Robbins, NC at the Elise Middle School; and a Key Club for teens ages 14-18 in Robbins, NC at the North Moore High School; and co-sponsors an ARC of Moore County Aktion Club for adults living with disabilities); and Circle K International (CKI) clubs for university students. There are also teen leadership weekend retreats, literacy programs, Bring Up Grades programs, (Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes Sponsors: a Terrific Kids Program at West End Elementary and Carthage Elementary), character development programs, and more!
